African lion

When you spot a lion on the Serengeti, especially one as magnificent as this one, you know why they're called "The King of Beasts." The lion in the first eight photos was relaxing under the shade of a huge boulder, and seemed to pay no mind to the Land Cruiser that stopped near him. The lion in the last two photos was resting between encounters with a nearby lioness.
